He was predeceased by: his father Fred Dyer; and his grandson Miles Paxton. He is survived by: his wife Janet Chapman Dyer; his mother Betty K. Morris; his brothers, Thomas Dyer (Cindy), Fred Dyer (Brenda) and James Dyer (Darlene); his children, Victoria Paxton (Chad) and Richard Dyer II (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Madison Crenshaw (Trey), Ella, Emma, Hannah Cunningham (Nathan), Jack and Leo; and his great grandchildren, Charlie, Gerhardt and Wilhelm.
