He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Morre Cody and Beanu Allison Cody; his former wife Elaine Groner Cody; and his siblings, James Cody and Linda Sessoms.
He is survived by: his wife Susan McSwain Cody; his son Richard Moore Cody; and his grandson Hunter Logan Tedder. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at 1462 Armstrong Ford Rd, Belmont, NC 28012.
