He was predeceased by: his father Marshall Boyce; his wife Frances Ellington Mitchem; and his siblings, Jimmie Mitchem, LeGrand Mitchem, Frankie Wylie, Dean Yarbray and Flora Ledwell.
He is survived by: his children, Jimmy Mitchem, Jeff Mitchem, Lynn Mitchem and Ann Mitchem; his granddaughters, Heather Martin and Amber Linehan (Austin); and his great grandchild Braylen.
