He was predeceased by: his parents, Rich Shoup and Ida Mae Shoup; his wife Terry Shoup; his siblings, Roy (June Shoup), Betty, Myrtle, Teresa (Randy Cable) and Sandy Cable; and his grandson Jeremy Altizer.
He is survived by:, Kathy Cornelius (Arlington), John P Shoup (Von), Connie Cline (Donnie), Chad Shoup (Angie) and Darryl Cable (Debbie). He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Greene Funeral Services - South Chapel (1503 S York Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052).
