He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Wade Calvert and Cornelia Bell Calvert; the mother of his children Frances Ashe Calvert; and his siblings, Sue Calvert Hooker Carswell and Melvin Calvert.

He is survived by: his wife Sandra Burcham Calvert; his children, Eddie Calvert (Debbie) and Donna Calvert Harris (Larry) of Belmont, NC; his stepsons, Rodney Lewis (Amy) of Stanley, NC and Jeremy Lewis (Marci) of Mullica Hill, NJ; his brother Rev. William Calvert (Mary Ann) of Lowell, NC; and his grandchildren, Jonathan Calvert (Erin), Jeffrey Calvert (Nikki), Ashley Lineberger (Jason), Wade Harris (Anna), Madison Mitchem (Hunter), Mason, Meredith Lewis, Jackson Lewis (Destiny), Hunter, Emma, Ava and Bo Lewis. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
