It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Dowdle of Belmont, North Carolina, who passed away on February 10, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Dowdle and Flossie Dowdle; his wife Emmie June Dowdle; his former wife Bonnie Laxton Dowdle; his daughter Tina Dowdle Beckman; his stepson Dino Hensley; his grandsons, David and Josh Hensley; and his pet Chance.
He is survived by: his daughter Pamala Dowdle Gwinn (Art); his stepson Ronald Hensley; his brother Wayne Dowdle (Ruby); his grandchildren, Jay, Mike, Kevin, Tiffany, Melissa, John and Scott; his children-in-law, Kim Hensley and Michael Lee Beckham; and his niece Cindy Mattox. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
