She was predeceased by: her parents, Roger Quarles Austin, Sr. and Ruth Smith Austin; and her brother Roger Q. Austin, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Alan; and her children, Dr. Jocelyn McWhirter of Albion, MI, Eric Malcolm McWhirter of Kunkletown, PA, Gregory Austin McWhirter (Doreen Custer) of North Granby, CT and Gillian McWhirter Bruce (Ian) of Hamilton.
