He was predeceased by: his parents, David Samuel Smith Sr. and Victoria O'Bier Smith; his siblings, W. Axson Smith Sr. (Melba), J. Perry Smith (Rita), Helen Gregory Smith and David Samuel Smith Jr.; his nephew Mark C. Smith; and his niece Carol Smith.
He is survived by: his niece Ann Victoria Smith; his nephew Axson Smith Jr.; his great-nephews, Axson Smith III, Jason Smith and Christopher Smith; and his great-niece Kristen Sykes (Lee).
A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. James Episcopal Church or The Salvation Army.
