He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mathew "Pete" Hayes and Jenny Hagen Hayes; his wife Della Dees Yelverton; his sister Gwendolyn Hayes Ferrell of Wilson; his niece Jensue Ferrell (Ford Sine III) of Manassas, VA; his great-nephew Jameson Willoughby (Lauren); his niece DeLaine Ferrell (Brent Futch) of Wrightsville Beach, NC; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Gregory and Bailey; his niece Christy Coggins Jethro (Doug) of Virginia Beach, VA; his nephew Charles S. "Chuck" Coggins Jr. (Dee Dee); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Parker and Cole; and also, Jayla, Bella and Zavia.
