She was predeceased by: her parents, Bland Gibbs and Katie Mae Watson Gibbs; her spouse Hampton David Martin; her son David B. Martin; and her brother Benjamin Gibbs of Joseph Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, Dennis H. Martin and Judy M. Guthrie of Washington; her grandchildren, Robert D. Guthrie, David V. Guthrie and Beverly D. Van Staalduinen; her sister-in-law Doris Gibbs of Belhaven; and her sister Annie Mae Hatfield.
