She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Edwards and Mildred Hudson Edwards; her granddaughter Victoria Whitehurst; her husband Ralph Miles; and her brother Ernest Robert Edwards, Jr..
She is survived by: her sisters, Linda Keech and Irene Jones; her children, Alan Miles and Tammy Sides; her grandchildren, David "DJ" Sides Jr. and Christina Sides; and her great grandchild Jeremiah Warren.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Edwards Cemetery (3207 Possum Track Rd, Chocowinity, NC 27817).
