She was predeceased by: her father Charlie Hill Alligood; her husband Carlyle Adams, Sr.; and her son Jimmy Adams. She is survived by: her children, Debbie Newell (Wayne) of Lillington, Kathy Neal (Kennith) of Pantego, Carl Adams (Linda) of Felton, DE and Robin Radcliffe (Keith) of Belhaven; her grandchildren, Brittany Varano, Kasey Neal, Amy Rebeck, Caitlin Knieriem, Stacey Adams and Susan Canady; her great grandchildren, Lathan, Declan, Kaden, Sawyer, Jonah, Hudson, Caroline, Kenzie, Bentley, Layton, Cole, Jase and Layla; and her siblings, Ray Alligood (Brenda) of Washington, Tommy Alligood (Barbie) of Washington, Edna Sheppard (Jerry) of Washington, Linda Sheppard (Glenn) of Washington, Marie Galloway (Bill) of Bath, Dorothy Lewis of Chocowinity and Peggy Cherry of Washington. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
