He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper William Hopkins and Hattie Elizabeth Fulford; his son Louis Christopher Hopkins; and his brothers, Decater, Ray and Curnie Hopkins.
He is survived by: his former wife Belinda Sue Blaylock; his wife Buddies Seafood; his children, Beth Lee of Belhaven, Tina Marie Taylor (Gary McDonald) of Cove City, Betsy Hopkins (Patrick Jordan) of Belhaven, Chris Matthews (Deana) of Vanceboro and Amanda Smithwick (Shaun) of Jamesville; and his sisters, Mary Cuthrell (James) of Pinetown, Cora Windley (Dalton) of Bath and Thelma Foster of Washington.
