She was predeceased by: her parents, William Bervon Denton and Berla Alford Denton; her spouse Jimmie Lee Strickland; and her siblings, Coleman Denton, Harold Denton, Willie Gray Denton and Kay Denton Clark.
She is survived by: her daughter Kim Strickland (Brian Kingston); and her grandchildren, Kristina Kyles (William) and Timothy Sellers. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
