She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Mitchell and Lillie A. Scales Mitchell; her husband Raleigh Daniel Joyce; her siblings, Annie (Harold Lash), Hazel (Richard Stewart) and Dewey; and her sister-in-law Mary Mitchell.
She is survived by: her children, Diana Johnson (Maurice, Sr.), Bruce Mills (Danette), Daniel Joyce, Sr. (Patricia) and Timothy Joyce (Cheryl); and her siblings, Grace Poole, Emma Jean Gray, Catherine King and Willie Mitchell (Elizabeth). She is also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, a host of other loving relatives and friends.
