He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Lee and Elizabeth Bowman Moore; and his sister Betty Jones. He is survived by: his wife Linda Henning Moore; and his children, James D. Moore and Annette Cheri Edwards. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one niece; and one nephew.
