She is survived by: her friend Germantown; her daughter Shelly Brannan (David); her grandchildren, Stormy Brannan of Beaufort, NC, Carlos Brannan of Beaufort, NC and Selena Brannan of Beaufort, NC; her son John Bennett Kinch III (Shelly); her grandchildren, Taylor Kinch of Frisco, TX and Alivia Kinch of Frisco, TX; her daughter Robin Wiener (Mark); her grandsons, Benjamin Wiener of Rockville, MD and Samuel Wiener of Rockville, MD; her daughter Tracy Henderson (James) of Old Saybrook, CT; her grandchildren, James Henderson (Allison) of Frisco, TX and Katherine Henderson of Old Saybrook, CT; and her sister Audrey Eckert (Hill) of York, PA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Valerie's memory to the American Heart Association.
