It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Susie Mayers of Beaufort, North Carolina, who passed away on January 19, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Ellison and Odessa Ellison; her husband George Mayers; her sisters, Royce, Laverna, Ingrid, Vickie and Yvonne; and her children, Thaddeus Mayers and Luv Mayers.
She is survived by: her children, Edward Mayers of Beaufort, Richard Mayers (Ramona) of Newark, NJ, Roxanne Mayers of Beaufort, Brian Mayers (Toni) of Fayetteville, Kwan Mayers of Fayetteville and Helena Gore (Keith) of Arizona; her grandchildren, Ronnie, Christopher, Geretha, Bartholomew, Gabriel, Sean and Christian; and her sisters, Marva James of Havelock and Shirley Hines of Florida.
