She was predeceased by: her father Kenneth "Gene" Riggs Jr.; and her father-in-law Glen Whitehead. She is survived by: her pet Boykin Spaniel; her husband Corey Whitehead; her son Mason Alan Whitehead of Beaufort; her stepparents, Jesse Franks of New Bern and Linda Riggs of Beaufort; her siblings, Chris Riggs (Alisha) of New Bern, Cody Franks (Laura), Tracie Brown (Jason) of New Bern and Summer Bohm (David) of Apex; her mother-in-law Cindy Whitehead of Beaufort; her sister-in-law Amanda Whitehead of Beaufort; and her nieces and nephews, Abigail Brown, Jared Brown, Olivia Riggs, Benjamin Boyd, Harper Boyd, Maxton Bohm and Mattie Bohm.
