She was predeceased by: her parents, Ezra Whitaker Brooks, Sr. and Alice Wilder Brooks; and her brothers, Roland Allen Brooks, Gerald Edward Brooks and Ezra Whitaker, Jr..
She is survived by: her sister Sarah Jane Pursley; her children, Major Lee Jarman, Jr. and Alice Jarman Powell (John-David Powell); and her grandchildren, Major Lee Jarman, III, Jacob-Christopher Powell and Alyssa Brooke Powell. She is also survived by many nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to The Alzheimer's Association or Tuttle's Grove Methodist Church.
