It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nora Faye Guthrie Dixon of Beaufort, North Carolina, who passed away on February 12, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick Guthrie and Pearl Guthrie; her husband Donald Gray Dixon; her son Danny Paul Dixon; her siblings, Virginia Bryan, Betty Lou Whaley, Frederick D. Guthrie Jr. and Donald Perry Guthrie; and her granddaughter Kimberly Pearl Willis.
She is survived by: her children, Suzanne G. Willis (Roland) of Beaufort and Donald Gray Dixon Jr. of Beaufort; her brother William A. Guthrie (Janet) of Beaufort; her daughters-in-law, Patricia L. Dixon and Lou Ann Dixon; her grandchildren, Heather D. Bissette (Greg), Zackery E. Dixon (Amanda), Jessica W. Cooper (Zachary), Amelia D. Willis (Bobby) and Avery Caroline Willis; and her great grandchildren, Aiden Cooper, Easton Bissette, Caden Bissette, Miles Cooper and Logan Dixon.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the First Free Will Baptist Church of Beaufort (1947 Live Oak St, Beaufort, NC 28516). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at the Carteret Memorial Gardens (800 State Rte 101, Beaufort, NC 28516).
