Dixon and Annie Tyer Dixon; her husband Levi McGowan, Jr.; her siblings, Ernest Elbert, Charlie J, Jay Bryant, Ezeckiel Bill, Billy Curtis, James Earl (Sam), Edward June, Mazell Reel, Mildred Roberson and Lennie Marie Dixon; and her half-siblings, Theodore Dixon and Bernice Dixon.
She is survived by: her son Gary McGowan, Jr. (Cindy) of Washington; her grandsons, Scotty McGowan (Jill) of Raleigh and Greg McGowan (Shelly) of Kinston; her stepgranddaughter Erin Daw of Washington; her great grandchildren, Liam, Cailyn McGowan of Raleigh, Farrah and Jonah McGowan of Kinston; her sister-in-law Geraldine Dixon of Washington; and her caregivers, Marietta Mills, Teressa Parker, Barbara Venters, Debbie Gibbs, Gail Winchester, LaDonna Kite and Janice Dixon.
