With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lawrence Eugene Wells (Beaufort, North Carolina), who passed away on January 20, 2020 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois Wells and Eugene Wells; his parents-in-law, Sarah and Wilbert Lewis; his brother James Wells; and his brothers-in-law, Bradley Schaff and Ricky Lewis.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Lewis Wells; his sons, Nicholas (Jennifer) of Newport, Derek of Beaufort, Nathaniel (Amanda) of Winterville and Devin of Beaufort; his grandsons, Derrin and Gavin; his sisters, June (Donald Garner), Vivian Wells and Tammie Schaaf of Beaufort; his siblings-in-law, Darrell Lewis of Stacy, Teresa Wells of Beaufort and Joan (Bill) of Stacy; his brothers, Ted (Bessie) and Ray of Beaufort; his aunt Vivian Becton of Beaufort; his stepfather Donald Graham; and his stepsister Donna French of Beaufort.
The family wishes to thank family and friends for their thoughts and prayers and they ask that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to a memorial fund to Cheryl Wells at State Employees Credit Union.
