He is survived by: his wife Ellen Sewell; his son Jacob Paul Sewell (Emily Sinning Sewell) of Morehead City; his sister Brenda Meadows of Fuquay-Varina; his nieces, Erica Peterson (Terry) of Emerald Isle and Kimber Meadows (Jared) of Maui, Hawaii; his nephew John Meadows (Michelle) of Boise, Idaho; and his grandchildren, Jacob Paul Sewell, Jr. and Vivien Evelyn Sewell.
