He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Salter and Blanche Salter (Bob); and his former wife Mary Lou Byrd Salter. He is survived by: his wife Jeanette; his children, Jeff Salter, Jr., William, Christopher and Chris Salter (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Hannah, Ella, Lucy and Les Salter (Tara); his great grandchild Saylor; his daughter Cary Russell (Conard); his grandchild Berkley Russell; his sister Janet Salter McLendon; his stepsons, Christian Holland (Gina) and Glenn Holland; his stepgrandson Marcus; and his nieces and nephews, Cindy Lewis, Brenda Jenkins, Walt Przygodzinski, William Giles and David Giles.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Episcopal Church (215 Ann St, Beaufort, NC 28516).
