He was predeceased by: his father Jarvis Moore Piner; his stepfather Raymond Capps; and his brother Joey Moore Piner. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Piner of Beaufort, NC; his mother Mary Capps of Garner, NC; his sons, Jimmy Paul Piner and John Patrick Piner (Kalah) of Beaufort, NC; his granddaughters, Kolby Grace and Jacey Paige of Beaufort, NC; and his brother Lon Piner (Claire) of Smyrna, NC. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
