He is survived by: his wife Beulah E. Modlin of Beaufort; his children, Jimmie Modlin (Connie) of Durham and Iris Modlin Vincent (Tom) of Havelock; and his grandchildren, Emily Modlin of Durham, Alyssa Kaczur (Joe) of Franklinton and James Vincent of Havelock.
