She was predeceased by: her parents, George Newsom and Ethel Newsom; and her husband Wade Hampton Hedrick. She is survived by: her children, Rena "Kathy" Hedrick Chamberlain (Thomas) of Beaufort, Ted Hedrick (Brenda) of Beaufort and Robert Hedrick (Robin) of Colfax, NC; her sister Marguerite Holland of Tarboro; her grandchildren, Wade Hedrick, Melissa Hedrick and Stephanie Smith; and her great grandchildren, Lilly and Tommy.
