He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Gibbs and Matilda Gibbs; and his brother Darrell Keith Gibbs. He is survived by: his wife Lois Gibbs of Scotland Neck; his sisters, Donna Thomas of Wanchese, Betty Lou Gibbs of Manteo and Sherleen Gibbs Johnson; and his stepdaughter Regina Lynn Gaskill.
