It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Friedlis Maurer of Beaufort, North Carolina, who passed away on June 27, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Horst Maurer; her parents, Fritz Adler and Martha Adler; and her siblings, Walter, Guenter Adler and Edith Seppelt.
She is survived by: her daughters, Ilona Murta of Beaufort and Simone Travia of Greenville; her grandson Victor Murta of Beaufort; and her siblings, Marianne Engelmann and Wilfred Adler of Leipzig, Germany. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
