He was predeceased by: his parents, Ulysses Hill and Harriet Hill; and his siblings, Wilbur Hill, Wanda Willis and John Hill.
He is survived by: his wife Christine Dunn Hill of Beaufort; his children, Richard Hill of Cary and Diane Hill Gillikin (Cecil) of Morehead City; and his grandchildren, Nicholas Gillikin of Morehead City, Rachel Hill of Raleigh and William Lawson Hill of Cary.
