He was predeceased by: his parents, Manley William Sanderson and Annie Mae Bowen Sanderson. He is survived by: his wife Theresa Adaway Sanderson of Beaufort; his children, Debra Ann Baker (Glenn) of Havelock, Ina Marie Sanderson and Michael William Sanderson (Jennifer Wrenn) of Wilmington; and his brother Elmer Gibbie Sanderson (Maria "Pili") of Beaufort. He is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
