She is survived by: her husband Big Jim; her son Jimmy Piner (Teri); and her grandchildren, James Piner (Abigail), Christa Piner (Charlie) and Kalah Piner (Patrick).
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Core Creek Methodist Church (124 Hardesty Loop Rd, Newport, NC 28570).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Tuttles Grove Church in honor of Dorothy's lifelong love for her church.
