He was predeceased by: his wife Edith Ann Lockhart; his daughter Rebecca Riffe; and his son-in-law Madison Riffe. He is survived by: his daughters, Laura Gillikin (Larry) of Bettie, Edith Riffe of Beaufort and Donna Jane Gray Lockhart of Beaufort; his grandchildren, Kimberly Peppers (Johnathan) of Stacy, Shannon Nelson (Anthony Jr.) of Bettie, Kyndal Respers of Havelock, Jenny Moore of Beaufort, Will Riffe of Marlton, NJ and Caleb Strickland of Morehead City; and his great grandchildren, Ava Piner, Arin Piner, Ashlyn Nelson, Kenli Peppers, Karsyn Peppers, Rebecca Moore, Arianna Respers, Christopher Nelson, Kalel Hunt and Jaxon Hunt. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
