She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Robert Ashton and Margaret Ashton; her children, John Follum (Lisa) of Newcomb, Robin Sprowl (Josh) of Beaufort and Melinda Freeman (Christopher) of Mooresville, NC.; her great grandchildren, Luke, Ella, Molly, Jayce Barber and Owen Sprowl; and her siblings, Bob, Paul Ashton, Patricia Gordon, Peggy Ashton and Susan Fulmer.
