It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nathan Joe Phillips of Bear Creek, North Carolina, who passed away on April 12, 2022, at the age of 20, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandfather Charles Johnson; his great-grandparents, Billy Joe, Edna Phillips and Albert Jourdan; and his stepbrother Dillon McGehee.
He is survived by: his parents, Kim Johnson of Pittsboro and Danny Phillips of Bear Creek; his stepfather William McGehee of Pittsboro; his sister Brittany (Caleb Winn) of Ohio; his great-grandparent Willie Jourdan of Bear Creek; his grandparents, Judy, Dennis Phillips of Bear Creek and Wanita Frank (Nick) of Timberlake; his stepsiblings, Shelby McGehee of Pittsboro, Nickie Fox (Timothy) of Bennett and Lee McGehee (Mariah) of Bear Creek; and his close friends, Cozy Wilkie of Bear Creek and Nayeli Gonzalez of Bear Creek. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
