She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wesley Guthrie and Esther "Easter" Headen Guthrie Giles; her children, Carol Brent and Johnny Ross; her siblings, Izona Hatcher, Varie, Odessa, Marie, Artha Mae, Audrey and Sylvester; and her grandson Daryl.
She is survived by: her aunt Julia Scarborough; her daughter Sandra Tysor (Charlie) of Goldston; her grandchildren, Andrea Murdock of Greensboro, Donald McIntosh of Bear Creek, Kesha Matthews (Ather) of Carthage and Desiree Hodges (Craig) of Charlotte; and her daughter-in-law Hildred Williams of Goldston. She is also survived by other great-nieces/great-nephews, cousins and other extended relatives and friends.
