He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Alexander and Ruby Kathleen Phillips Wilson; his uncle Doc; his aunt Ida Phillips Gaines; and his siblings, Berta Mae Wilson Tillman (Ernest), C. D. Wilson (Bertha), Edsel Wilson, Ray Wilson (Mary Lois) and Ralph Wilson.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Phillips Wilson; his children, Paul Wilson (Kathy) of Bear Creek, Andrea Wilson Hough (Randy) of Goldston and Rebecca Wilson Ramsey (David) of Bear Creek; his brother Arthur Wilson (Betty Jo) of Bear Creek; and his sisters-in-law, Barbara Jean Wilson of Greensboro and Shirley Jean Wilson of Siler City. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
