He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Wilbur Cone and Ruby Finch Cone; his former wife Joyce Anne Gurganus Cone; his siblings, Danny Marshall Cone, Patricia "Pat" Elaine Cone Morris and Judy Raye Cone Staton; and his grandson Michael Hackney.
He is survived by: his wife Amerlice Coley Cone; his daughters, Beth Candler (Danny), Kimberly Hackney (Chris) and Wendy Cone (Curt); his stepson Tim Coley (Rebecca); his grandchildren, Brandon Hackney, Ariel, Landon Langley, Adrienne Castevens, Melissa Howard and Cheyanne Lea; his great grandchildren, Tristen Hackney, Jackson, Ethan Troutman, Colin, Avery Howard and Neriah Lea; and his sister Jackie Cone Price. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
