He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Janice Sawyer; his daughters, Kamesia Gaskins and Netoshia Gaskins of Hampton, VA; and his siblings, Linda Sawyer of Maribel, Margaret Sawyer of New Bern and Lonnie Gibbs of Reelsboro. He was also cherished by three grandchildren.
