It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katherine L. Barnes Girard (Bayboro, North Carolina), who passed away on March 20, 2023, at the age of 35, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her grandmothers, Ann Eckert and Betsy Barnes. She is survived by: her parents, Timothy Barnes and Nannette Sackett; her stepfather Ralph Sackett; her husband David Girard; her children, Brooke Ann and Lucas Joseph; her sister Natalie Barnes; her grandfathers, Fred and Ron; her stepsisters, Carrie Rice, Aimee Busch and Jill Jackson; her aunts and uncles, Jody, Lisa, Ann, Michele, Ed and Paul; her father-in-law Dennis Girard; her siblings-in-law, Sarah Girard, CJ and Matt Girard; her cousins, Charles, Steven, Ella Rose, Dawn, Bri Hammer, Dana Eckert, Dylan and Austin Clark; and her close friends, Clay Downing, Brittany, Alex Kraus, Nikky and Prudencio Perez.
