With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph J. Sawyer of Bayboro, North Carolina, who passed away on October 17, 2020 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sawyer and Sally Sawyer (Jewell). He is survived by: his brother Charles C. Sawyer (Konradine) of Bayboro; his nephews, David Sawyer of Alliance, Dennis Sawyer (Polly) of New Bern and Joseph C. Sawyer of Bayboro; and his great-nephews, Jordan Taylor Sawyer, Bradley Sawyer and Dylan Sawyer.
