He was predeceased by: his father Robert Lee Manning; and his brother David Manning. He is survived by: his wife Lessie Manning; his sons, Robert D. Manning, Jr. (Erin) of Nashville and Clifton Darrell Manning of Rocky Mount; his mother Dollie Mae Williams of Nashville; his sisters, Della Parrish (Wesley) of Nashville and Carol Hyde (Frankie) of Nashville; his sisters-in-law, Rae Manning and Margaret Kennedy; his brothers, Tim Manning (Kathy) of Elm City and James Joyner (Cathy) of Rocky Mount; his pet Bridget; his granddaughters, Alyssa Blair Manning of Rocky Mount, Kelsey Manning of Kernersville and Lacey Manning of Raleigh; and his great grandchild Lilliana of Kernersville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
