It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Grace Eason Sumner of Battleboro, North Carolina, who passed away on July 25, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Kirby Lee Eason and Sallie Meadows Eason; her husband Victor Rowe Sumner; her grandson Matthew Noah Davenport; her great grandchild Cameron Rowe Bunn; and her son-in-law Ronald W. Ray.
She is survived by: her daughters, Elaine Sumner Ray of Wendell and Dinah Sumner Davenport (Ray) of Battleboro; her grandchildren, Jennifer Ray Bunn (Bryan), Jason Thomas Davenport and Katie Davenport Harrison (Adam); her great grandchildren, Chloe Blaire Davenport, Stephen Russell Bunn, Cooper Lynn Harrison and Bentley Ray Harrison; her siblings, Sue Eason Kirkland (Bruce), William Lee Eason (Eunice), Toby Earl Eason (Gail) and Kirby Sandy Eason; and her close friend Tom Warren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
