She was predeceased by: her parents, Haywood Gurganus and Grace Gurganus; her siblings, Shirley Whitley (Richard), Robbie Gurganus and Douglas Gurganus (Joyce) of Fullerton, CA; and her nieces, Sheila Hathaway (Robert) and Marilyn Bradley (Jeff).
She is survived by: her spouse Glenn Roper; her children, Chris Beach of Tarboro, NC, Steven Roper (Annty) of Clermont, FL and Stephanie Griffin (Robert) of Greenville, NC.; her sister Glenda Thompson of Tarboro, NC; and her grandchildren, Amber, Trey Beach of Tarboro, NC, Ned Coffman of Greenville, NC, Alyssa Beach and Ally Wimmer of Salem, VA. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and an awesome family of friends.
