He was predeceased by: his parents, Jatha Boyd and Marie Boyd (Warren); his brother Dalmon E. Boyd; his sister-in-law Lois Boyd; and his nephew Craig Boyd.
He is survived by: his sister Sandra L.; his brother-in-law Claude Dupree of Bath, NC; his brother Halston R.; his sister-in-law Glenda Boyd; his nieces and nephews, Cindy Burke, Selena Rouse, Teresa Boyd, Sherri Boyd, Chuck Little and Dal Boyd; and his close friend Glenn Asby.
