It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty J. Pruitt of Bath, North Carolina, who passed away on October 20, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jimmie Mae Jones and Eleanor Mae Gee. She is survived by: her daughters, Terri Pruitt Howell (Bryan) of Fuquay Varina and Angie Pruitt Smith (Mike) of Willow Springs; her siblings, Jimmie Jones (Jacki) of Nokesville, VA and Page Jones Rrenn (Carter) of Raleigh; and her grandchildren, Hunter Howell, Hampton Howell (Lupe), Holden Howell, Monica Hempenius (Nick), Marissa Smith, Hanna Howell, Harper Howell, Elisabeth Smith and Emmerson Smith. She is also survived by three great grandchildren; and she was expecting twin great grandsons.

In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks for memorial contributions to be made to St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Bill Pruitt Scholarship Foundation Fund, 101 Craven Street, Bath, NC 27808.
