With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Beth H. Guthrie of Bath, North Carolina, who passed away on September 2, 2024 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Beth's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Beth has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice Haywood Hardy and Ellistine Scott Hardy. She is survived by: her husband David Russell Guthrie; her son David Earl Simpkins, Jr. of Washington; her brothers, Woody Hardy (Donna) of Chesapeake, VA., Bobby Hardy (Brenda) of Washington, Scotty Hardy (Kathy) of Lason, CA and Jesse Hardy (Roseanne) of Matthews; her grandchildren, Haylee Elizabeth Simpkins (Grant Crisp) of Washington and David Earl Simpkins, III (Viviana Garcia) of Ayden; and her great grandchild Adalyn Elizabeth Crisp.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Paul Funeral Home & Crematory (900 John Small Ave, Washington, NC 27889). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
