He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Jack and Willie Mae Wallen Bass; and his daughter Wanda Bass Ray. He is survived by: his wife Ruby Boone Bass; his children, Lois Bass Sams (Freddie), Billy Brookshire Bass (Gena) and David Bass; and his brothers, Charles and Burnice Bass. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
