She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Augustus Eason and Eugenia Combs Eason Castellow; her husband James Edward; her children, Phyllis B. Miller and Robert F. Barnes, Sr.; her grandchildren, Stephen Spruill and Nikki Barnes; her sons-in-law, Rhett Miller, Charles Spruill, Jr. and John Harris; and her brothers, Ed Liverman and Ray Eason.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sue Barnes Farlow (Jim) and Rita Barnes Sauls (Randy); her grandmother Barnes Haislip (Sam); and her son James Edward "Buddy" Barnes, III (Loretta). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
